Week 4 [03/02/2025 - 09/02/2025]: What I have read this week...
What I have read this week...
Here is my weekly 'What I have read this week" post. Before I get into what I have read, I want to emphasise that when I create my weekly posts here, I do not just stick to books that I have read. For me I would find it a bit boring. Besides as you will see, number one is always the same (so far). I have read a little bit of a mix this week so here we go...
1: French!
Again, I am back at it with the French. This week I reached my next milestone of 400 days! I am so happy with how I have managed to keep the momentum going. I have said to people before about wanting to reach 1000 days but whether it would ever happen is something we will have to wait and see. I think that works out as doable in under three years. I have passed the first one so far. Keep. Yours. Eyes. Peeled.
2: Album track lists.
I recently got a number of albums for myself and a friend. We are both massive Madonna fans and even share some favourite songs as one another. I wanted to get him some Madonna albums. Currently as I type this, I have Madonna's Celebration (2009) - one of her greatest hits albums. It includes some of her commercially best songs including ‘Hung Up’, ‘Like A Virgin’, ‘Papa Don't Preach’ and ‘Frozen’ just to name four out of thirty-six. Anyway, her music is excellent. Plus she's so vocal on issues that are important. Just check the NSFW video for ‘God Control’ if you are eighteen or older.
3: Oryx and Crake (2003) by Margaret Atwood.
Here is little me, this agender bisexual human soul still reading Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake because I am determined to finish it. Obviously I do not want to give any spoilers yet on how I am finding it. If you stick around, you might be lucky enough to receive an open and frank opinion on the novel from yours truly.
4: Emails.
Is this a boring one? I took a few days off work to get stuff done and that included going through emails.
5: Instagram and Facebook.
Still back with Instagram and on the Facebook because there are certain pages/people I follow to get information on things that matter to me.
6: The Tesco magazine.
I have been browsing the February edition of the Tesco magazine because I love to get my hands on coupons, recipes and more! This month you can whip up chicken and pesto burgers, Espresso Martini pancakes or even discover why drizzling olive oil over vanilla ice cream is a good thing. Trust me, I was shocked and I am still unsure but see for yourself if you want to...
I think this sums up what I have been reading this week. Not a lot but maybe next week will offer a greater diversity than the usual candidates with some extras. Stayed tuned blog readers...
Until next time,
Thomas.
