Week 6 [17/02/2025 - 23/02/2025]: What I have read this week...

What I have read this week...

I have decided to do a weekly post on Sundays, only a short one, just to inform you all what I have been reading that current week. When I do these little posts I will try to include everything I have read, even if it does not seem relevant to the general themes of my blog posts from within that week.

This week has seen me read a little bit, though not much in the way of variety.

1: French!

Yes I am still going strong at 412 days... (I think!)

2: Wilderness Tips (1991) by Margaret Atwood.

I have been reading over some of the short stories again from this collection just to garner some extra thought for my blog post which I posted on Friday of this week.

3: The Autograph Man (2002) by Zadie Smith.

A little while ago read Zadie Smith's first novel White Teeth (2000) so I came to the realisation that I wanted to read her next novel in chronological order, that I actually possessed. Her second novel The Autograph Man is one I own so I have started sinking my white teeth into that one!

4: Track listings.

Again I'm listening to lots of music and I like to read the tracklists to see what songs I have got, if I have forgotten. My latest CD's are My Everything by Ariana Grande and Who I Am by Beverley Knight.

5: Instagram. (Again)

I need my fix of politics and social issues. I follow trusted people/sources so I need to keep in the know with certain things. Many people I know don't bother to read stuff to make sure they know their facts. I do. I am informed where others sometimes are not.

6: Board game cards and instructions.

This week I have played a game Scrabble Trickster and most recently, for the first time, I played Ms. Monopoly. We slightly adapted the rules because it only refers to people whose gender identity is "female" or "male" so therefore we added in for those whose gender identity are neither. Everyone just accepted it. That's because I was around some people who can be very accepting.

I think that covers what I have been reading this week. I do like to try and mix up what I read. Anyway, this time next thing might offer something else new or unexpected. Let us wait and see.

Until then...

Thomas.
