What I have read this month...

It is that time again where I highlight some of the things I have read across the month. Let me let you in one some of the things that I have been throughout March.

1: My French.

As per I continue with the various tasks to learn French and that includes reading tasks. I am slowly on my way to eight-hundred days. Eight-hundred! I am not planning to stop yet...

2: My chess.

This is another thing that I continue to do. I always have to read the instructions carefully or I get things wrong. I can play chess but I am not the greatest chess player.

3: NW (2012) by Zadie Smith.

As Zadie Smith was author of the month for March, I decided to read her fourth novel, NW as it was the next novel for me to read. I had already read her first three which I reviewed last year. My review of NW is on the blog as a post from this month. Have a look if you want to know what I thought of it.

4: Cards.

With birthdays coming up I spent some time reading messages in cards to see which ones I liked best with the designs and words on the front.

5: 'The Waiter's' Wife by Zadie Smith.

I read and reviewed this short story by author of the month, Zadie Smith earlier on in the month. You can check the review to see my opinions on it.

6: Articles.

I have quite a few online news articles lately about things that I believe would be relevant. Obviously not everything you read in the news is true so I am always being with what I am reading. Anyway, I check stories multiple times to see if the same thing is being reported.

7: Bus information.

Buses are always changing and I have been reading up on the latest list of upcoming changes. Naturally there is a lot of bad news in with the small amount of good news. Still... what can one expect?

8: 'Suggestion' by Ada Leverson.

I read and reviewed this short story by friend of Oscar Wilde, Ada Leverson. It is was only published from the Monday of this week so you can have a look and read that.

9: Lots and lots of text messages from people...

Need I add any more to that one? I have had so many people messaging me because it is what people do. That's all.

10: Social media.

Despite how bad I consider it to be (or rather certain ones), I use it to find out things. Such as how people are being silenced as always. Funny how people only complain about Freedom of Speech when it affects those on the right and not the left.

That is some stuff I have been reading. Come back at the end of April to see what I have been reading then.

Until next time,

Thomas.
